New pastor
Rev. C. Allen Colwell, who began serving St. John as pastor January 25, 2009, was born and raised in the Greater Cincinnati area. He met his wife, Jacqueline, while studying theater in Chicago and earned a Master of Divinity degree from the Christian Theological Seminary—an ecumenical seminary related to the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Indianapolis, Ind.— where he graduated magna cum laude. He served the Mitchell (Ind.) Presbyterian Church as a candidate supply pastor until his ordination in February 2007, after which he continued serving as their designated pastor.*

* A designated pastor is a minister elected for a term of not fewer than two nor more than four years by the vote of the congregation.

What is stealing your joy today? Is it anxiety, envy, not forgiving yourself or another, feeling hurt or treated unfairly?
Take a first step: Go to God in prayer. Ask God to show you how to change, how to find joy again in knowing His presence, help and guidance.
Read Philippians 4:4-7.

thanksgiving and hope that someday my cup of tears will be filled with

I offer you my cup of resentment that you may fill it with forgiveness.
